Thank you for your inquiry. This is a ground floor apartment and the patio has a pool view.

Is the pool and beach open at this time due to Covid?

The pool and beach are currently operating at a reduced capacity. Masks are required on the beach and once the beach beds at the pool are full, no more access will be given. Beds are lent out for only 1 hour. Social distancing is also recommended.

Nice unit, great location, quiet during the day, service not so great
Location, size of unit, two bathrooms, nice balcony and patio chairs.
Unfriendly pool/security staff. If you do not pay them for "finding" you a chair in the morning, they will move your things and give away your chair as soon as you leave for a walk on the beach. When confronted, they cited a "1hr rule" - which is obviously applied very selectively. Master bathroom had a strong sewer smell that seeped into master bedroom. The maintenance never showed up in 2 days after we notified management.

What would you highlight about El Faro
One of the best trips I had with being so close to downtown and restaurants.
The location is excellent. The pool was fantastic, the view was superb, being on the beach, and loved being so close to downtown. All the restaurants, shopping, and ferry were just a short walk.
The only thing that could have been better was the cabinets in the kitchen had some damage from either humidity or moisture. I was but disappointed to see the damage to several cabinets. But it is what it is, the location is on the beach, pool and downtown were excellent.

Great location to enjoy all of Playa del Carmen.
Great location between beach and 5th Avenue, a few blocks from WalMart. Good working AC.
The TVs in our room (all 3) did not work. We got one working TV replaced 3 days before we left. The sinks were rusty and bathroom floors were stained by a previous guest.
